Cyclocross - CX and SSCX races and training

Same here, I put a fairly big effort in coming out of the second lap and into the third. Once I hit the climb I had popped, took me what felt like two laps to recover and go again! I was gasping for water, the GF later told me she had a bottle for me in her bag the whole time. She thought I wouldn't want it haha, maybe next time!

The London Rapha Super Cross event is on the 14th of November at Granary Square, Kings Cross.

And in the light of that announcement @Scoot are you designing the course for the Rapha Supercross.

I've got a rad, very central location in mind but it's not confirmed yet. There would be some really awesome obstacles and changes in surfaces, the only problem is that it's pretty flat (it's not a car park) so all the changes in height would have to be artificially built. But despite this I think there's potential to make it a really fun, different course and as a result of that a really good event for spectators too.

There would be your normal racing categories from kids to vets plus a novice/fun race and if there's enough demand for it maybe even a single speed/fixed only novice race? So the fixie skidders can have a go?

Just had a look at Granary Square, big open space, fountain, a grid of trees, pan flat. Might be a bit small to put in a decent length course along with all the usual Rapha attractions and space for spectators though. There is a flight of astroturfed steps though and you could always race through the building. Perhaps run it up to the Lewis Cubbit Park for some grass action a well.

Yeah, I would probably race there.

I'm thinking of joining a new club as Rollapaluza CC is a ghost town, but all the ones I'd like to join look too cool to have me as a member.

A problem you'll never have with LFGSS CC, not while I'm a member anyway.
