No, he misses the point. By the time they are crazy drunk and aggressive in September, the job of creating the queens for the next year is done. They are no longer pollinating and the aphids are no longer larvae for them to eat and cleanse our plants. By September the only useful thing a wasp can do is drown in a well made beer trap.
