After all of my naysaying several pages ago about the 39mm case 214270 Explorer. I'm actually really tempted now. Tried one on a few times as well and compared it with my 36mm case (which I still love).

Would it be extravagant to have 2 Explorers, one 36mm and one 39mm?

I'd probably end up selling one. 39mm is a really nice size. I tried on the new OP 114300, which has the same case as the 214270, and it was almost perfect.

Hear what you're saying. Am thinking keep both, one would become a bit of a beater and the other for best. Have been thinning out the collection (a little) recently sold a couple.

But my taste is definitely changing as I get older.
