Just because I'm not able to own a nice Italian sports car doesn't mean I can't tell the difference between a nice sports car and a Multipla. And since the would means more 'would love to' than 'i'm going to buy', it doesn't really matter that what I ride. I'm riding what I can afford.

People build nice bikes for £100 and awful bikes for £10000, budget isn't a deciding factor.

For someone which such a great deal of critique to share about small particulars, I just assumed your bike would be a vision of aesthetic I perfection, regardless of the cost of the components used.

A solution to a problem that doesn't really exist. Proper gloves are better and won't be so aerodynamically dreadful.

Motorcycle style handlebar muffs are a far better solution than these things.
