I assumed so.
I've been pondering about OP for a while and with the shitty weather and "Winter is coming", it seems like a good time to try the 27mm's. -

Anybody measured the width of clement LLG strada 28mm on wideish (archetype) rim?
-
• #1929
In case you were in any doubt - Corsa SC's are rubbish in this weather.
Weirdly I did 100k of damp gravel/ tow path riding in Wales on them without even so much as a cut in the tyre, but one day gritty london roads led to 4 punctures in my rear. -

Were you aiming for patches of glass or something?
-
• #1931
No. If only.
So much swearing on the way to work today. -

Ended up settling for some Open Paves as wiggle had them on the cheap. Read massively conflicting reports on their durability but I ain't weight much so hopefully they'll last a while.
Also hoping that the 25c leave room for guards later in the year...

Ugh. didn't check Wiggle this morning - paid £30 each from Ribble. Durr.
-
• #1934
The problem is that people assume that because they cut up reasonably easily that durability is poor (as opposed to something like a gps4000, which stays looking newer for longer) - which is simply not the case, even when they cut up Pave's still keep going and going and going.
-
• #1935
I wouldn't worry - ribble & wiggle are pricing them identically :)
Funny you say that about the wear - I'd actually prefer something that shows wear.
The GP4000 I punctured on Sunday (first time since putting it on!) had a couple of other cuts right through the sidewall that I couldn't see till the tyre was off the rim and inside out. -

Ok, when are these fancy pants new Shwalbe One Pros gonna be available for sale then?
-
• #1937
Vittoria Open Corsa CX in decent colours and sizes for £22!
Vittoria and Michelin Latex tubes under £6 there too.
-
• #1938
Thanks - ordered a pair of CX 25mm in black and 10 latex tubes
-
• #1939
Any time.
-
• #1940
Also an option to get two free tubes when you buy a pair.http://m.probikekit.co.uk/bicycle-tyres/vittoria-open-corsa-cx-clincher-road-tyre-twin-pack-with-2-free-tubes-black-700c-x-25mm/11137450.html
-
• #1941
Actually not free when you look at the prices the tubes end up costing £2.53
-
• #1942
I guess its not wise to put on an Open Corsa CX for winter, is it?
-
• #1943
I know loads of people who happily race on them year-round. Mileage is really low but at that price...
-
• #1944
Didn't see your comment in time but rear tyre basically died so decided to go ahead and try the revered Open Pave's so we'll see how it goes.

• #1945
Which 35mm-ish not-too-expensive puncture-resistant commuter tyre is the forum-approved option of choice?
-
• #1946
Pasela
Although I use Kojak.
-
• #1947
RiBMo.
-
• #1948
Kojak with lower pressure.

I checked both Vittoria Open Corsa tyres by measuring the width of the rubber thread on both 23mm and 25mm.
They're exactly the same.
Bit annoying as that mean there's more sidewall on the 25mm, thus more exposed on wide rims.

Put some new shoes on the bike, Victoria open corsa cx III. These are 25mm but once mounted and inflated they come in at 27mm. Fine on my bike but worth noting for those with tighter clearances.
