Jebus that is gone, saw a mk1 fiat panda 4x4 clement (? some weird version of it) which are now rare and £££ in a scrap yard. It had literally been in a stream on a farm for about 8 years, the thing fell in half when they lifted it, not a single component from it was salvagable!

It'll cost you whatever you pay to get it roadworthy again.

In the rest of the world you insure your car, as far as I'm aware.

steyr puch MK1 was a brilliant off roader.

Depends on the country, in France you have basic third party cover automatically.

it looks amazing from the outside, with great paint, but it was obviously put together by cowboys - three bolt instead of six holding the doors on, metric bolts where there should all be imperial, 2"bolts hanging out of captive nuts, etc. only had to cut off two nuts, and that is where the wankers had used a bolt instead of welding in the captive nut they threaded.
check this out: where there would have been two 6v batteries, they put one bike battery in one box, connected the -ve and +ve leads of the other battery and insulated it with a work glove! A FUCKING WORK GLOVE!

Need to buy a vehicle ASAP so I can insure it and book an Eurostar ticket of the right class next weekend.
Tonight I'm going to look at a Transit Connect I spotted on Gumtree. I've got a few other connects on my eBay watchlist.
Any typical points of concern I should check?

How long you need somewhere for? If it fits in my garage and I can still access my bikes and motorbike, then we could have a deal...

a month, tops. i would pay for your kindness, obviously.
should i give you a call this evening?
cheers.
-
• #24592
That should be fine. No need to pay.
I'm out tonight, but should be in tomorrow, if you want to come round and take a look?
-
• #24593

If you fancy taking the mrs for a dirty weekend in bognor, i can put you on the insurance, instead.
-

Give me a shout during the day, I'll PM you my address.
And thanks for the offer, but I have standards...

The Michelin Pilot Super Sport on my M135 are nearing need of replacement. Thinking I will just put a set of winters on for now (prolly October time), and a new set of MPSS in the spring. Winter tyre recommendations? Not too spendy.
Also thinking about getting the summer tyres put onto some BBS CH-R (CSL style) rims for the summer.

Not had it that long have you? Some enthusiastic driving :-)

I believe the expression is "spirited".

They'll have 15k miles on by the time I replace them. Fronts aren't as bad as the rears, but they are staggered, so no rotating.
They have seen some 'honest' driving....
i need a garage, short term, relatively quickly - any ideas?
