  • National Cycle To Work Day.

Couldn't be arsed to cycle. #trainwankered

  • my bad, confusing you with the naming of the evening repast

  • most of us here work (to afford) to cycle

  • @Dammit, felicitations from Sunny Winchester! I too, have dinner in Winchester, a 'UKIP' for breakfast (the full English), dinner then tea!

  • I have a serious NJS habit.

  • Unless racing Keirin in Japan an NJS habit is more comedy than serious.

  • So, my dad bought a new rain jacket for cycling purposes, found out it was to small and handed it over to me.
Which is nice of him - as a student I'm constantly broke and I needed a new rain jacket.
The catch: It's high-viz. Fluro yellow all the way, with big fuckin reflectors down both arms. It's dreadful.
It rained today, I wore it. It kept me dry and reasonably warm, not sweaty, not cold. I still felt like a right twat.

  • Embrace the fluoro and don't worry, if it keeps you seen, dry and warm job done, use it and save up for a less flouro one have a ceremonial passing on of the jacket to someone else when you get the new one.

  • Sometimes I see people who I think are on here and I don't "DAS" them

    Sometimes.

  • What does "DAS" actually mean? Is it like spotting/mentioning riders? I've never known.

  • Dangle a Sack, it's to make the rider stick their arse as close to the rear wheel as possible.

  • It's a reference to the series of 1990s washing detergent adverts starring Danny Baker. The misspelling is an example of forum gold.

  • An abbreviation of the phrase "Das ist Brick Lane, meine freunde", coined after someone locked his bike to a tourist's Mercedes

  • In the 1980s and early 90s, Microsaft had a product called DAS or Disk Aperating System. Because this is the internet, people pretend to fondly remember it, even though it was superseded by much more user-friendly systems.

When this forum was first launched, it could only be accessed via DAS because everyone here is a faux-retro hipster. It shows that you're a true LUFGUSS OG.

  • Alternatively, it's also been said to stand for "Dripping Arsecheek Sac" - a timely warning that only twats ride with worn cleats

  • That's weird I always thought it stood for "Direct Attached Storage" (not to be confused with the computery DAS). I've always shouted DAS when the respective cyclist is sporting one of these:
Which I thought was a way to identify all forumers.

  • "Don't Ask, Stupid"

  • That looks like it's been mounted backwards.

  • I confess. I can't mount my DAS properly.

  • Directionally Awry Storage.

    #fuckingpagefail

  • I confess, I hate when people use disc wheel covers...

Oh and btw, we had some fun before she went away to India to be a cliche.

    Sorrrrry

  • all my bikes are titanium with black or silver components, except my fatbike which is black and white, and the plastic road bike which is also black and white

suddenly i want a fucking garish mtb, for no reason other than loud and colourful

  • are those sex toys? is this your confession?
