Easy.
If you use shimano pedals, get shimano cleats.
If you use CB pedals, get CB cleats.
If you use time pedals, get time cleats.
...If you get brand new pedals, they come with cleats, so you don't have to worry about it.

@DrEscroto thanks man you are a fucking legend. are you brazilian or something? Wrong ebay link. This is the correct one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252065474712?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

You have to look at the original listing, which are the cycling version (scroll down).
@lovelydrop: The pedals you're using or plan on using both use Shimano's SPD MTB system, so you'll need SPD MTB (commonly referred to as just SPD) cleats like these: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-spd-mtb-cleats/
The standard release SH51 are the ones you'll be needing (as can be seen on the packaging will fit both the pedals you mentioned).

Last question, promise!!!
Based on a shit load of comments about the Chrome Kursk... they work best with Crank Bro's cleats.
If I bought:
Cleats: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/crank-brothers-premium-cleats/
Pedals: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/crank-brothers-candy-1-mtb-pedal/Would they work?!

Just buy the pedals. In the description it says:
Cleats: premium brass cleats included
So unless you're getting two pairs of shoes you don't need another pair of cleats.

Sweet cheers
Hey
I am so fucking confused.
I never owned cycling shoes, and I know nothing about them.
I just bought a pair of those chrome kursk on ebay but the description says:
"SPD plates not included."
By that, I am guessing that they come with no cleats.
What I would like to know is, which cleats do I need to buy?
From what I've read, the Crank Bro's are better.
Would these work? http://www.wiggle.co.uk/crank-brothers-premium-cleats/
In regards to pedal, I am currently riding these ones: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-m324-combination-pedals/?sku=4000000080
But they're heavy as fuck so I was thinking about switching, maybe these ones: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-m424-spd-pedals/ (i'd like to get one that i could ride without the shoes too)
Can someone here please help me in plain english?
Thank you
