Now this won't lose much weight without you throwing a lot of money at it.
Even a mid range CF frameset can take it below 6.5kg I reckon.
Ride it as is till then.
Edit: Noticed the pedals; get cheap speedplays off ebay and replace chromoly axle with Ti. Mine are 120g for pair with overall price of £50.
