So. All these valves. Are they to do with the radio or powering the speaker?

I took the back off my grandparents old Bush radio to have a look to see whether it would be possible to repurpose as a possible long term project.

You'd really need a schematic to mod this for line-in.

Usual suspects for old valve amps are: plate resistors gone open-circuit, power supply resistors gone open-circuit, failed electrolytic caps, dry joints or dirty switches and pots.
