It's the individual variation thing that I'd be wary of. Sure, you might get them right and save a couple of watts but I understand positioning is much more sensitive on the arms, so you could throw away 5 watts. Just pedal a bit harder ;)

I'd leave it for the moment TBH. There is stuff on the way though

Awesome cheers... I'll stick to trips on my legs then. I just figured that it would be a cheap opportunity to possibly save a few watts since I already have the trip strips.
I was hoping to buy one of the castelli body paint tri suits which are supposed to be fast but time and ££ conspired against me, and now by not having one it feels like I'm throwing watts away :-)

Buy a NoPinz tripsuit next season, it'll hold together for more than 3 races.
-
• #931
I almost certainly will since I need a new skinsuit anyway, but I'm not sure how good it'll be for tri. (unless Xav is planning a NoPinz trippy tri suit??)

Would. Although I'd cut the legs off at the knees, flares aren't really that aero.

• #934
You sure?
@xavierdisley tried 'em :)

My tri top for Wales is actually yellow to white fadez with hibiscus and butterflies on it so I suppose it's not that different from the trippy suit.

Reading that made me a bit sick in my mouth
-
• #937
No, I'm not that imaginative!
Have a sleeved suit anyway....

• #938
Pad the flares out at the back to make your legs in to aerofoils
-
• #939
That's what Xav did, basically.

Along with wearing a bin bag on his head :-)

And he's started a business from it. Living the American Dream.
Wait.. what?
-
• #942
I thought the TripSockz would be slightly more socially acceptable TBH
-
• #943
On which note... Would you recommend sizing up or down for the socks? I'm 36cm so exactly on the border of small and medium. I tweeted nopinz but not heard back yet.
P.s. I thought the papier-mache / bin bag hat was rad... Better than the POC offering...

I hope you ban anyone from using them who has previously given any shit to users of calf guards...

Did Zipp publish a "whitepaper" or test results when they introduced dimpled rims. Anybody got a link?
Is there any independent testing that has shown they work as intended?
Found this (but not technical enough... :)) http://www.zipp.com/_media/pdfs/technology/rough_around_the_edges.pdf

Lobster style mitts for da aeroz...

Quite old

Don't let the grey hair deceive you, I'm not that old.

Thanks, ordered!

Let me know how much faster they are than what you use now. I expect minutes off 10 times left, right and centre with these..
Good point, but Xav has trips on his upper arms in his trip-suit, so assuming that they work for him I'd assume they might be ok with ATS stickers*? I'd just loose the bits that run over his shoulders.
*allowing for individual variation of course.
