This could only be better if they she had chosen the Final Countdown as the backing track. 9.9/10
Edit: I've done it, I've brought forth the end of the world http://www.youdubber.com/index.php?video=P3WnQ246f1g&video_start=12&audio=9jK-NcRmVcw&audio_start=11

It does beg the obvious question...can she do it in heels?

That's pretty clever!

Yeah that's nice, but can she pull off a whip-skid into a sweet bus-stroke? I doubt it.

Fixed, but no foot retention >>>>>>>

Has that video gone viral? That seems to happen to one of them every few years. Here's the thread I started ages ago on artistic cycling:

A few years ago, it was this:

Doubt she got much Strava Kudos for that.

CGI was good.

Epic skills, I dunno if the judges were aware of just how much it takes to get such moves looking quite that good though.

Even when she wins a medal and celebrates, she does it on the bike:

The judges are usually people who have spent decades in the sport, so yes, they know. :)

Fair enough!
I've seen people do stuff on bikes before, but not to that level and not infront of a panel, learn something every day! -

It's always amazing how few people, even those heavily into bikes, have heard of it (and its sister disciplines, all indoor sports) over here, although admittedly it's unknown in many areas on the Continent, too. It's a very small sport run by dedicated enthusiasts. I just don't understand why it's not more popular--it's so amazing to watch, and similar sports, like artistic figure skating, attract huge audiences.

I'd never heard of it before I saw this clip, I thought the lady in heels was a one-off circus act.

How does one get into artistic cycling? It's pretty obscure, and must involve a lot of painful injury to learn. It's not like you can do it on crash mats.

I can easily see how you can build up the skills you need bit by bit. Trackstands -> no hand track stands -> stationary fixie tricks; steering no-handed -> steering no-handed and no-footed/with feet on handlebars/other crazy stuff. There seems to be a lot of crossover with certain skills from artistic gymnastics too. How you get into it is anyone's guess mind

And I guess the first time you try "backward circles whilst stood on top tube" or similar must be pretty interesting..
