It finally works, had to delete some folders, relog delog refresh purge and flush, and I have to login to steam each time I open it, and run as an admin, but good god, it works. Did I just see 60fps in Elektro? Yes I damn well did! Ok, it was only for a second, and as heat increased fps decreased but it's so much smoother and mid twenties in big cities atm and 35-50 outside, and on higher settings.

Getting used to rarer loot, apple trees are a god send.

Glad to hear you got it working. Make sure to turn all the invasive privacy off... There should be a number of updates too.

In Disk cleanup, there should be a "previous versions" or something. That will be around 15 gb.

Oh I did disk clean up but it didnt find any previous versions? Maybe I will try again. Will run some updates etc but its running crazy smooth, like I have never experienced before.
Loot is sparse, found a repeater and the only ammo I managed to find fitted which was a real stroke of luck.

Currently SWAF if anyone wants to head over fora meet. Planning on heading North along my usual root.

I'm going ot add to this post rather than post again as I have been totally rage spamming this thread in frustration but, .58 on Windows 10 feels like an entirely new game. SO different. Runs so much better, less loot, my settings are different, its worlds away from .57. Can't wait to start a camp somewhere.

Loot is pretty good, I miss automatic weapons a bit and Z, don't really want to go PvP but its on the cards.
Game is feeling so much smoother although my FPS has began to get worse, may be due to my constant medalling.

Been away for a week and arrived back to .58. It seems good, kind of feels like dayz a few patches back when it worked okay, but I'm sure its moving forward. I gave it a spin last night on a full server but didn't really bump into anyone and didn't hear a single shot fired all night. I managed to get semi geared but no guns, only ammo. Didn't see any zombies or animals either.

Would be good to get another camp set up, is persistence fairly sorted now? Gents is pretty busy and often full. I've been playing on blue waffle attack force, they have a few servers.

Sounds good to me. Maybe first person to find a tent or barrel starts a camp and we all stick to that server? I'm near myshinko tents which is the place to get all the guns. It was pretty looted when I arrived but I found all the ammo then when I went to log off found an ak74u in a bush! Jackpot.

I need some schooling - things are VERY different.

No z's for starters. Lots more emphasis on crafting/survival. I made a stone knife, opened a few cans of food, drank my fill at a well, found a Trumpet, a box of nails, a couple of boxes of pistol ammo. Now I'm wondering what to do... making my way toward NWAF.

I also made a bow and arrow but have nothing to hunt.

Lastly, just so it's written down - my blood type is A-

If I were to be really anal I could keep killing my character until i get the universal receiver blood group (AB Rh+)

Might of just found a server with a loot explosion in an officers tent. I now have a spare sks with ammo. How about we all try and meet at the west tents and gear up?
