Since you have Paves, it's even nicer to take the path by the Jubilee River. The Thames path from Maidenhead bridge to Brocas Meadow is doable on a fixed road bike when it's dry, although there's a bit round the back of Dorney Lake which will be a bit muddy after all this rain, so I'd stick to the Jubilee which has an all weather surface all the way.
Flint will get you every time. The all-weather stuff on the Jubilee and Thames paths is made from soft rocks, more like Strade Bianche. Never had any trouble on it even with more pure-tarmac tyres.
