Cheers! Yeah, I'm loving it. Position is exactly the same as my road bike, never got on with a bike so quickly. Did 50 miles today in the pissing rain in such comfort, mudguards are a revelation.
I've heard about using QR clips on the rear mudguard, but I've got just about enough clearance to get the rear wheel out when the tyre is deflated (tested today, thanks Paves...)
I reckon this is about as spot on a winter bike as you can get. Simple, no fuss, and just enough anti not to be precious about it. Proper good.
One thing did occur to me though (and I don't know if it's been tried and tested before)... would it be possible to add a couple of the plastic mudguard QR clips to the rear mudguard stays? That way you could just ping the mudguard off if you needed to replace a puncture over winter?
