The current unit (Hansgrohe Raindrain) has just sprung a leak - the gasket deformed, pulling away from the unit below and the sealing ring above, allowing water through.
Happened at the lower corner, as it were, where the unit underneath is at a slight angle downward.
Annoyingly when putting it back together I overtightened one corner and stipped the threaded insert out of the plastic, so have had to order another complete unit.
Dammit
Fitting a shower drain - would you use some silicone/sealant of some type around the rubber grommet that goes through the shower tray and to which the drain clamps on either side?
