I stripped down a the rear hub of a Campagnolo Neutron Ultra wheelset as it sounded a bit gritty. Most of the grease was relatively okay, however when disassembling the freehub and pulling out the axle, there seemed to be metal debris. After cleaning everything, below is what I had left. Is it terminal, and what could cause this? Aside from this issue, the rear wheel is okay. The question is, if its terminal, is it worth the investment to fix? I imagine I need a new axle and a new freehub. Any ideas?
