Ha! So my changing requirements have made it nigh on impossible to find an automatic Bauhaus type watch at ~£300. Found a Botto Tres auto for just a little beyond budget- no idea if any good though. I'm Now looking at a Tissot Visodate or simple pilot style watch like a Steinhart...

I can't find the pic but there was a vintage Oyster Prince with a faded sky blue bezel on leather that was even better.

Although I wouldn't buy it, I can't see anything wrong with discussing it, in many ways it has a lot of the features that people look for in a watch. I can recognise many design features as things I might look for on other watches, just perhaps not in this combination.
Also it's interesting because it's on items like these ( entry level designer goods ) that brands like Michael Kors make all their money.. -

I'm looking for a watch for my gf as part of a christmas present. She is convinced that she would be too worried about losing it to wear something costing more that about £150. I think this puts me firmly in seiko territory. Is there anything else I should be looking at?

Je t'adore.
Yeah I went for the Fenix 3 Sapphire as I can get away with wearing it for work too, really pleased with it so far - yet to really use any of its features properly but do feel it pushing me towards doing more just so I can "record all of the things!"
