  • Sagan not happy..

  • ha, too many threads.

  • Any footage of the alleged collision?

  • I don't think so. Just the aftermath.

  • Sagan DNS

  • bollocks.

  • :(

  • we'll never know. the official story is 'injuries'

  • Yet another car or motorbike crash, incredible. (Pssst, Ordinata. :) (Unless there's some meme I'm missing.))

  • Sorry, a deliberate typo playing on bro cycling bants*

  • incredibro

  • “There was a breakaway in front and, together with a rider from Lotto-Soudal, I was attacking to bridge the gap. Then the group reached us from behind and I was sitting in second place, while another Lotto-Soudal rider came to the front to pull,” he stated. “So, I attacked again to reach him, as he was about ten meters ahead.

“When I reached him, I signalled to him to go ahead as I was staying on his wheel. I moved to the left and at that moment a motorbike hit me. There was nothing I could do.”

  • Well this is exciting.

  • So did Froome not just win the Tour de France?

  • Amazing.

  • Blimey, that was a good stage finish.

  • Incredible finish, so happy for Dumoulin.

  • Just wow. Mental win, literally

  • Starting watching it live, maybe 70k to go, had a nap then they were on the final climb, but my god what a climb

  • I was in Spitalfields and walked past Peloton with 17km to go. Stopping to watch the rest was a great decision.

Has a breakaway stayed away in the Vuelta yet?

I only just caught up with the last couple of days as well. Looks like a horrible couple of incidents.

  • Two days of hill reps – both have been pretty exciting.

    re' the Sagan thing yesterday:

It does seem like there have been a lot of high-profile moto incidents this year already; the Avermaet incident, that horrendous crash in the US and Fuglsang in the tour.

Just watching the Vuelta coverage it's clear the how motos interact with the peloton isn't exactly ideal: near misses, misjudged lines impeding or assisting riders, stopping in shitty places and jostling for position with the cars and even riders.

Whether the motos need more info, better direction/training or to be fewer in number I don't know but perhaps tinkov's lawyers can help someone decide.
