My Vintage GMT is now within 2 seconds/day. Maybe I just set it to the wrong time?
Gah.

It was a general comment, not aimed at Sanddancer. Life wouldn't be great if it hadn't also sometimes been shit.

Googlefu says Yema is 36mm.
Too small fo me. I'm out.

Not really wearing this over my Seiko, so for sells. Nice little Montine auto, little bit tatty but I've polished up the acrylic and it still keeps really good time (at least as good as me Seiko). £20. I think @Tenderloin was next in line when I bought it off here, so he has first refusal.

Just ordered one of these...
Not sure if I'm excited or worried I'll hate it!

Some advice please- I'd like to buy a watch. Budget of around £300. Quite like minimal/ simple designs like the Mondaines. Not keen on anything dinner plate sized. Looking for something well made that offers bang for buck and will last. Any suggestions?

Second hand Max Bill?

Junkers - around £300 or cheaper, a variety of styles

Lovely watches. Bit nervous about buying 2nd hand as I'm a watch noob

thanks for the suggestions- some lovely watches among them. Uniform look very nice indeed. Very drawn to the Max Bill though, even though well out of my budget new...
Quite like some of the seiko SARG series too, though quite a different style

Have you had a look at the Seiko SARB line too? Plenty of options on Rakuten. Lovely watches.

Cheers- also very nice. I'm starting to understand how getting into watches can become an expensive hobby- way too many choices to choose just one

Narrowed down requirements a little: Would rather have an automatic over quartz. Sapphire Glass and a level of water resistance is also good. This will be worn often so will needs to be scrath ressistant and may well end up in the shower / a full sink when I inevitably forget I'm wearing it

I have the Fenix 2. Kinda wished I'd waited a few months for the 3. It's big and ugly but hell I like being able to log everything. Bit 'quantified self' but has also really helped with shifting a few kgs. Just swap it for a smarter watch when I'm at my desk at work, basically.

Get rid of the others. This is the only one that matters.
Funny, I've been thinking the same thing :(
