Is a SSCX with a front disc brake only asking for trouble? Or is that workable?

No rear brake? Two brakes are good for modulation

IMHO it would be shit on tricky terrain. In fact I'd probably prefer rear only for racing.

I used to run my sis mountain bike with a disc up front and a V on the rear, back in the day, it worked well and can be easier depending on the nature of rear drop outs.
