  • I like the look of the cx hammer.
    Lok like shoes, neoprene sock.

    What could go wrong??

  • Do the police still have a Brick Lane stolen bikes team and how can I get in touch with them directly?

I stongly suspect my pilfered Cannondale will make an appearance tomorrow morning.

  • I've got some Middleburn RS7 square taper cranks and one of their triple spiders. I want to run this as a double... am I better putting rings on the inner+mid or mid+outer tabs? Front mech is run on friction shifter rather than STI if that makes any difference...

  • Depends what ratios you want.

  • Either 42/28 if I use mid/inner or 44/30 if I'm using the outer/mid, probably prefer the latter as it'll work out slightly cheaper for me

  • If you go for outer/mid you might be able to replace your archaic 4-spline BB with a similar one but narrower, for a narrower Q, if you have clearance.

  • Plenty of clearance and already have a narrower BB I've been meaning to fit, seems like it should work out alright!

  • Do front road brake calipers have one arm longer than the other? if so why?

  • Can anyone recommend (i.e. they have used it!) a flowershop that delivers, based in Lewisham/Brockley etc?
    Thanks!

  • You Don't Bring Me Flowers in Hither Green are amazing. Only deliver quite locally though...

  • nice one - was looking at them and a couple of others. thanks!

  • Petalon are good (they deliver flowers by bike) but only central-ish.

I think someone on here recommended them to me but I've used them a few times now.

  • Cheers, I went with the Hither Green place (in a rush!) - sounded good on the phone.

  • Inexpensive USB lights? We seem incapable of having two sets of functioning lights - just bought another set and the first set has gone missing. Worse than socks.

  • can you run speedplays brakeless?

More to be seen, than light up the road, but small and easy to attach to bike.

  • Are you sure you've got it mounted straight?

  • One arm is longer in that dual-pivot brakes don't have arms that are exactly equal in shape:

    Is that what you mean?

  • It looks to be mounted straight,

@fizzy.bleach it just seems that one pad is always sat considerably lower than the other, both on their lowest points

  • ?!

Maybe take a picture and put it up here. Are the pads identical? Does it look like the pic I posted above?

  • Lezyne micro drive come up pretty cheap on ebay

  • Where would I get linseed oil in London? Would love it if I could get it near N22

  • A builders merchant, I'd guess

  • with shimano 600 is there a difference in either of the derraileurs if you have dt shifters or sti's (brifters)? many thanks

  • Yeah, just make sure you're fully clipped in before going downhill, say Swains Lane, otherwise you might have to crash into the wall to slow down.

(they're fine, but can be a pain to clip into)
