  • Not that I'm having a pop, most of us post things on the internet that are uninteresting to most. I just found it mildly amusing.

  • Yeah, you'd prolly be better off saving your cash to pay for the water to fill up that not at all frivolous swimming pool sized bathtub/sexpit you've got on the way....

  • God dammit Andy. You beat me to the punch.
    #foreversecondplace.

  • So much zing.
    Many pops.

  • Meaningful architecture (which is what we're aiming for) should never be frivolous or tawdry. We're not building a folly! And such a project has the capability to take over your life in a way a piece of Rapha clothing never could, unfortunately.

And believe me, I need all my cash for various types of builder. It's not the best comparison as I am in no way enjoying spending so much money and there are no sales in the world of contractors :/

Like I said, we all do it, I never said it wasn't a hypocritical moan...

  • Meaningful is in the mind of the beholder.

  • Ah, the high horse! It's on sale at the moment actually. For a limited time only, 25% off and a free 'hard-bitten old hack' cynic package with every purchase. This is a new creation combining the grumpiness of our 'bunch of buyers' moan with the versatility and functionality of our 'fuckin mugs' special.

  • Parklife!

  • True!

    (Strokes imaginary beard)

  • This all feels a bit like the Emperor's new clothes anyway. Grown men squeezing into a lycra onesie like an infant is utterly ridiculous and you all know it. A Freudian psychoanalyst would have a field day here. :P

  • The desire for a onesie for people who don't race is beyond my comprehension.

  • given that it has pockets, it's not really made for racing is it?

  • Road racers need pockets (apparently)

  • I dunno actually, they look kinda cozy.

  • The desire for a onesie for people who don't race is beyond my comprehension.

Colorado last month, 15% climb, 38 degrees, no shade - that's why I bought one in the end, to remove the double layer of fabric of bibs+jersey that made my back hotter than the surface of the sun.

That and the way Fox is presenting his "guide to an approved life" in this thread makes me want to do the direct opposite, which sadly rules out the aquatic sex-pit for the time being.

  • Hah. I think I'm possibly the least qualified person to write one of those, but as your flat isn't a on the ground floor I think it might be tricky to incorporate an aquatic sex-pit anyway...

  • Does anyone have a copy of the Mondial magazine that they'd be willing to part with? I was behind the curve on a magazine release for once, and they seem to be sold out already.

  • Wel the red Trade Team jersey that I didn't really like but wanted to buy if it was cheap is now out of stock!

  • anyone got any experience with the softshell base?

  • More coming in the next week or so.

  • Excellent, thanks. I'll keep my eye out.

  • You're right, they designed it for going to the pub in. I distinctly remember back in 2011 when Van Summeren wore one to ride to a pub in Roubaix he mentioned how useful the pockets were for energy gels and ciggies.

  • like many Rapha products i think they are designed to get people discussing the brand

  • i have ordered the onsie because it:
    annoys other people
    coordinates with my biek
    i could
cheaper than a pair of shorts and a jersey
supposedly more comfy than shorts and jersey
    cooler on hot days
    for the fuck of it
    i enjoy buyers remorse
