Some specialized OEM drops of some sort, off a langster; favourite drop bar for running without hoods.

Well I'm going to swinley this weekend, expected to have my new 29er built up but not all the parts are in. So I did a rushed build and paint job of my CX frame.

It was raw, really worried it would rust so I grabbed the first can I could find and went mad, turned out to be red and I hate red so I found a blue one but it ran out :)
It'll go off to armourtex for a single coat of something next time I get payed.

What's the 29er plan Indra?? You sold the JYD?
-

Don't worry about rust. The steel needs to be prepped anyway. Either it will be blasted or sanded before paint. It needs to be really bad rust to not be good looking paint once finished. If you go to Talbot or other frame builders you'll se rusty frames hang around the shop waiting to be painted.

Looks pretty cool like that IMO.

Yeah I know but I'd rather not push it, it'd hung in my shop getting rusty for the past 2 months or so.

My cargobike has been sitting still without paint for two years. It is getting criminal :-(

Damn! Guess it's relatively thick walled tubing though? This is mostly max and spirit so it'd probably rust through in short order.
I did ride this unpainted for a while in 29er guise. It'll just about clear a 2.2"

That cruz looks fucking awesome! I need a 120/140mm travel full sus bike one day, I really abuse my XC hardtail...
Should have left the cx raw...or paint it Im a monochrome guise.

Very nice. Did you do The Bicycle Academy course? I am going to save up and do that (master course maybe) before going home to DK.

Similar build, similar problems. Frame built with Zona tubes on the framebuilding course. Couldn't decide on the paint and just left it raw. Rust is just superficial now, won't be a problem removing it before the proper paintjob.

Yeah man, it's arrived in the UK but waiting on a few parts to get it rideable. Should have it around Friday but I'll add some different finishing kit over the next couple of weeks.

Complete but custom build options, was happy because they let me go for a relatively low key colour-scheme not offered in the catalogue.

oh shit tidy.
your a dickhead for gettin it so quick fam.
come canterbury lets get muddy -
• #750
It's been in the works for around 3 months, not sure I'd call it quick!
I plan on getting muddy at every opportunity, when you heading down there? Also is the riding not more suited to the CX bike?
Not actually new, just found a tyre to fit the front. They're also just velocity deep V's.
I have some tb14s in the right drilling though so whenever I get a minute I'll lace them up.
