  • I'm just about to build up my Pompino.
    Problem is: My Sugino SG75 crank doesn't fit, the crankarms (170mm) touch the frame.
    Bottom bracket is a Campagnolo Centaur 111mm.

    Is anybody else riding a SG75 on his Pompino? Which bottom bracket do you use?

  • Sounds like the situation you'd expect with a JIS crank on an ISO spindle - resulting in the crank being ~4.5mm closer - but then they're both ISO so that's odd.

    If it was an Italian BB I'd say you'd put the cups in the wrong way around, but that's not true either, so I'm clutching at straws...

    Stop quoting the one thing which Sheldon Brown got wrong. The true difference is about 1mm per side
