Thanks both - I'd not heard anyone mention doing this before but it did ring true as I'd had to resort to 'burning' the frame twice to remove a seized seatpost (not that doing this would have prevented that particular problem - a carbon one has stopped the prob). I have all the requisite holes so hopefully should be OK.
