Been thrown a bit of a curve ball but a manageable one.
Wont be on for a few days but after that lets plan a big meet and whole eve of it. I'll get a mic and everything. -

Me and the girlfriend went our separate ways a few of weeks back- Alienware still in the flat which I'm glad of as I would probably be living a second life on DayZ right now instead of going to work and being a human.
I'll pick it up soon though and get on for a session.

Sorry to hear that mate... Killing zombies is probably a good outlet though :)

• #2207
That's shit news bro :/
Definitely have to jump on soon, been too long since we talked about how potatoes stand on their ends...Also, how long have you had an alienware??

Some dude went to IRL Chernarus and took some photos. The resemblance is impressive.

Right, I might be able get back on soon, life's life, cant change it.
.58 on Wednesday from what I hear (for reals this time) which will mean goodbye AK's, MP5s, ACOGs and 300+ rounds of ammo (at least not without hours of hunting).
When we have a meet up I would like to practice some sniping, had been learning about zeroing (the number top right when you have a gun in your hands - usually 100) and also using this map to measure distances to work out what to zero too, REALLY fun.

Seen a few of these now, it really is crazy how much they managed to recreate. Imagine going there by chance, as a DayZ player/fanatic, and the penny dropping, could lead to some sort of panic.

• #2213
Yeah, or if you just happen to be from there and pick up the game and immediately know your way around!

A couple of guys from Bohemia were arrested by the Greek police on one of their scouting trips for ARMA. The authorities thought they were spying! They take the mapping and modelling really seriously.

Trying to instal .58, no luck, now down to 35mb of free space on my 50gb partition with only DayZ, firefox and Win 7 installed. Windows is the biggest piece of fucking shit I have ever used, I cant believe companies rely on this counter intuitive bug/virus riddled bullshit, anyone who has never used OS X before really needs to go out and buy a Mac and realize how computers can actually work. Tried all suggestions up thread and nothing works. Windows really is for fucking cunts.

Bro, dont worry, there's ways a solution.
-
• #2219
Theres a thread on the apple forums about how to change the size of the bootcamp partition.
-
• #2220
IS THAT ANOTHER VIRUS?!?!!?
I deleted everything I could, including Steam and have reinstalled, now have 2GB free but DayZ wont launch.
"unable to locate running instance of steam"
PC, do you even PC bro? I feel I spend about half my time getting the damn thing to get near working, I need to sort out a new machine with a better copy of Windows which isn't riddled with virus'. -
• #2221
Ah shit, wrong link. Oops.
-
• #2222
Ha, i'll have a read of that...
I have deleted DayZ, and tried to reinstal, now I no longer have the space to instal, seriously Windows? V V close to nuking the whole partition and starting again... might be for the best. -
• #2223
Yeah, you need more space. At least 64 gb for things to behave properly.
-
• #2224
been meaning to buy this for yonks, what better way to "work from home" which server are you guys on?
-
• #2225
YES! do it.
I'm quite keen on the Gents Private server but that gets crowded, now that persistence is getting sorted shall we choose a server and try and stick to it?
Not that I can even download DayZ atm.
FFS Windows.
Sorry man, my IRL shit is getting serious, big day tomo, might not be on for a bit.
Hopefully things will work out.
