I'm not going to make a detailed reply, as I'm about to go to bed. But just to clarify, the bars were what I first inspected to be in good condition. I was working at the time so took them out for a quick inspection then messaged to say that I had received the item as a bit of communication to you. I then went back to work, soon after when I had time I took them out the box and could visually tell that something wasn't right. One side looked off to me.
I thought it must be an illusion of the eye, but was busy and went back to work again. I looked again when I had more time as I was still unconvinced of the quality. So this time I took a width measurement and found them to be 5mm wider. I then placed them on a table and against a flat edge and could also see an alignment issue there too.
Anyway, the packaging appeared fine to me. It's the bars that are the problem. The way that they were packaged would not allow them to be bend outwards, as the box had no room to give on either side. I don't see how it's possible to bend bars outwards, from inside to out when you have a box surrounding them. And you would have to force the bars apart with great force, well past 5mm to get them to mis-shape like that, with leverage from the inside. I also don't see how it would be possible to bend the bars by applying pressure from the top down, squeezing the sides out from underneath. Again you would need a massive force.
Regardless the guys are right and I already said it to @Gruby, it's not my problem that the bars are bent when sold in good condition. It also sounds a little weird how he didn't want to do a payment transfer and said I would need to pay the fees. I stupidly agreed to do a private transfer, thinking that his time on this forum and his activity would warrant a decent person. I didn't see any bad comments on here for this sort of thing. I'll know for next time not to fall for this and take my time on these things.
I'll post some pictures early next week as I'm away tomorrow.
