As Ice Cube said "Today was a good day!"
I went out to East Finchley to meet a lovely man called Steve (with a cavernous and incredibly well stocked with bike parts garage) who @BigBlock put me in touch with for some 26 x 1 1/4" Constrictor Conloy Asp rims. The rear came laced to a Gnutti hub and the front laced to a FB (Frateli Brivio) hub. Both small flange with chrome barrels and alloy flanges. The best thing is they're laced up with 15/17 gauge spokes saving me the hassle of having them built up! Bonus! and I can also screw the cyclo block straight on.
He obviously liked the cut of my jib and asked if there was anything else I needed. I noticed he had a Bluemels Spearpoint extension on one of his bikes so asked if he had another. Out one came!
Next, I asked if he had any Chater Lea cups and out a good set came.
At this stage, I stopped asking as I knew I was running out of money. Anyway, just a few small bits to go and the build can commence! Here are some pics of todays haul:
