I love Paves but I wouldn't use them all year 'round.

I'm pretty sure I promised myself during the 24hr that I'd not do anything longer than a 10...

then you went and did P>B>P.
I have limited sympathy for you. -

Anything like the open pave or gp4season available in 32c or bigger?

Word.
Best tyre I've ever used.
2 pinch flats in 15000 miles. No punctures.
/ I don't ride in the gutter.

Out of curiosity, why the hatred for light butyl tubes? I've got them in 2 sets of wheels (Conti Supersonics), they've given no problems and are a cheap way to save about 50g a wheel.
If your going for performance (as the gram counting suggests) then latex is the way to go. If your not then the extra cost and fragility of light over regular butyl isn't helpful.

I guess I see no reason for not giving the Challenges a go.
Tour magazine did a "wide racing tyres" test in 2014, which included Challenge PR and Conti GP4000S II (28mm), but not Vittoria Open Pave: Conti beat Challenge on every count.
PR was slower than even a 23mm GP, had the worst puncture protection of all tyres tested and Tour noted that "Tyre gives little feedback as regards grip limit and suddenly slips when over the limit."
I fitted OP last Autumn and haven't removed them: no punctures or serious cuts (lots of flint around here); the rear will need replacing soon.

Thank you

Strange how a German magazine always finds German tyres to be the quickest and German bikes to be the stiffest. You can't explain that.

I think I remember reading that you were building your road bike up around wide tyres so I'm sure I'm telling you what you already know, but you might want to beware the Challenge PR sizes. They are flipping huge.

Curious indeed...

Not a race.

Thank you. Yes and the rims I have chosen are mega as well. Rear tyre will fit in the frame no problem. Only front tyre clearance in Columbus Fel fork might be an issue.
I am not sure whether I should go for now. @Scilly.Suffolk you have a link for full article? Or is it only IRL?

Open Pave is a great all round tyres, bigger = more resistant to puncture.
-

The GP4000s II can go up to 32mm due to the combination of weird sizing and wider rims (at least 19mm internal).

I had a puncture on a brand new Open Pave tonight.

Gutter bunny.

Roads awash with grit. It was on College Road, so I was well out of the gutter.
Your problem is that you ride too many miles. Ride less and things last longer: sprint logic.
