Open Pave will do pretty much everything and are pretty fast. I don't bother with anything else in the winter.
In other news - I borrowed a wheel from my girlfriends bike this morning because I was running late and couldn't be arsed to fix the puncture in mine. It had a Rubino on. Awful tyres, even in the dry I could feel it squirming around and christ they're slow. I used to ride them all the time too.
