  • Out of curiosity, why the hatred for light butyl tubes? I've got them in 2 sets of wheels (Conti Supersonics), they've given no problems and are a cheap way to save about 50g a wheel.

  • They don't roll as well as latex and they are far more susceptible to punctures.

    If your going for performance (as the gram counting suggests) then latex is the way to go. If your not then the extra cost and fragility of light over regular butyl isn't helpful.
