Just accepted an offer on my flat.
10 days ago, we weren't even on the market. Now we have provided draft contracts on a house and sold our flat.
Speedy.

Should've waited until next week to sell: capital gains would buy you a new car. #sortofjokingbutnotreally

I don't understand.

I'm looking to replace some of the sash windows in my flat. A fair few are currently rotten, a couple with cracked glass, etc. I'd like to replace with double glazing and something that doesn't need constant maintenance.
Any suggestions for what to look at and also companies in North London? Cheers

It's nuts.
We offered on a 2 bed place in Leytonstone yesterday. Was on for 475, we offered 10 above and it went for 535.

Girl in the office put her Nunhead flat up for sale Wednesday, accepted an offer by Friday and had her offer accepted on a larger place two roads over today. The world moves fast.

I have now spoken to the seller and he tells me that the property is now 100% cleared and the appliances have been removed already.
He has replied to the last enquires so is hoping we could be in a position to exchange soon, please check with your solicitor to make sure he has received these replies and if he hasn’t ask him to chase the buyers solicitor to send them. The appliances have been removed already?!?!

AO.com it is then. Check your employers corporate benefits pages to see if they do discounts.

I was implying that Hither Green is soaring in price so fast that if you held on for another week you could buy a new car with the extra capital gain.

Thats insane.
You can get a 2 bed in e3 for that? In fact I think there is a place out the back of mine for 450 or something... period property and all that. -

the market in E11 still seems utterly mental. there is a house in Chichester road E11 which needs gutting and about 100k spending on it which is under offer against an asking of 450k.
where was the 2 bed you were looking at in e11 Tenderloin ?

This the right place to ask for builder recommendations?
Need a loft hatch putting in and the plaster touching up, in the SE5 area.

we could be neighbours if you buy it..

• #10343
Ah.
We ended up in a decent enough position ;)
-
• #10344
More than decent, I'd say.
-
• #10345
Which one? We've just been told the Chichester one is under offer, so can't view it. I assume it's gone for over asking price
-
• #10346
sorry I was talking about the Chichester road house. that's pretty nuts if its gone for over asking.

A place in my block appears to have been listed and sold in short order - how do I find out what it sold for?
-

Call up the agent and say you're a cash buyer

Zoopla will tell you but only in a few weeks once the land registry has been updated.

They accepted the first offer that came in. At asking price. Mind you it was up with Foxtons...
It was Hart
