Previously had a negative opinion about DH, had to go to a game last season for a stag party and I loved it, so did everyone else who I was with (nobody had been before either). The stag used to go there as a kid and reckoned it was way better now. Seemed more family/St Pauli-esque than hipster. Lots of liberal/left wing stickers, flags and chanting.
Definitely gonna go to some games this season. Being able to drink your own cans is a real bonus.
Pompey till I die and all, but DH are great.
get fucked, yeah? DH are another in a lengthening line of independent, non-league football clubs modeled on the likes of St Pauli FC that promote liberal, inclusive values and actively eschew the racist, homophobic, neo-fascist cuntery all too often associated with mainstream football. More power to them.
but hipsters, lol!
here's a pro-tip: go to a match and form an opinion that isn't fed to you by a cunty article written by someone desperately trying to claim a sense of authenticity by calling into question the authenticity of others.
(i suspect this forum's @Buffalo_Bill amongst others is an avid supporter. )
