Would love some hive-mind advice on what are currently considered robust but supple/comfortable tyres for my road biek. Got some compass tyres on my commuter and the experience has been a revelation in that a comfy tyre and a fast tyre don't have to be exclusive.
I suspect I'm already using a reasonable candidate (23c Conti GP4000sII) but willing to consider other options.
Probably can't go much bigger than 23 because of brake clearance on the rear (and I want to re-fit crud roadracers when appropriate). I know Conti's tend to come up big, though.
I am also into gumwalls because I'm a bit of a fashion victim. Clement Strada? Challenge Elite? Vittoria Open Corsa?
