What a great idea!
Even if you get no takers you'll still have a blast doing it on your own. I backpacked around there in my early twenties and the bits I did on my own I always met people and sometimes did a stretch of travelling with someone met along the way.
If I were 15 years younger I'd come with you!
Best of luck. Update the thread as you go, I'm sure it will inspire others. -

I wish I could come with you.
My 2 pence, having toured Thailand last year. Go north. If you can spare the time there is a loop from Chaing Mai, up further north to Pau, and anticlockwise back to Chaing Mai. About 5 days riding. Hilly, beautiful.
I found the closer to Bangkok I got, I really didn't like the roads/traffic. Riding down to the south was pretty cool, but nothing on the beauty of the north. You can check out some photos if you scroll back enough on my instagram - Bencost

I love to join your company but i am from Spain if you are adjust to make it in Spain than it got better. Here are many cycling tracks with group accommodation available. If you are interested than give me reply.
Anyone fancy a Thai cycle tour in December?
I'm thinking I could do it alone, but company would make it logistically easier and hopefully more enjoyable. My plan is to ride from Bangkok down to Phuket (or somewhere down there) between . Or maybe from Chiang Mai all the way down. Taking trains over hilly/busy areas or just to have a day off and cover the distance. Then for the last week (27th Dec-3rd Jan) I'll meet a friend from Japan and just relax before getting the train back to Bangkok or flying out from Phuket if I can find an affordable flight.
Although that schedule is flexible and dependent on flight prices. I basically have to take the standard two weeks at Christmas and I can add 1-2 weeks on top of that either side, but I'd like to be over there 27th Dec - 3rd January).
If that sounds like fun and you might be interesting in joining for some or all of it, send me a PM and we can discuss.
