cheaper the better (also reliable); the original plan of SS Talbot for missus has now been 'upgraded' to 1xsomething ..

what crankset do you suggest?

Cheap square taper track, like the Lasco one, but they only have 3 3/2 in one size annoyingly enough, unless you have a spare 3 3/2 130BCD 44t chainring that is.
