Its still really good though. Seriously light and as far as I'm aware very well made.

Will matching brake hoods be extra?
-
• #1529
That is a very beautiful bike. Did you have it resprayed like that?
-
• #1530
If you don't like the hoods you won't like the pedals 😊
-
• #1531
Can you not just swap one pedal for one hood?
-
• #1532
I could

Had it sprayed by Mario Vaz with custom decals.

What would you guys say is the going price for a NOS kg231 frame (without forks)? Found one in my size but think it might be a bit too much. Does anyone have anything going around 58 size?
Cheers

@crane - the one on eBay has been reduced by £50 to £200 and is still unsold... I sold my cosmetically challenged KG231 for £80 with headset/fork/seatpost...
The hassle of finding a decent 1" carbon fork to compliment it would put me off a bit - so factor that into the price, maybe another £80/£100 for a fork making the NOS frame around £150ish?
Hope that helps! I'm after a 56cm KG xxx if anyone has something?Cheers,

The complete 53cm KG231 currently for £395 on eBay started off at £795! Price seems okish now...but blue rimz?

Does anyone know how to remove this steerer bung?
Headset is OEM on the KG381 (Cane Creek KG with Look m-6xl top cap) so suspect the bung is too.
It seems to be an expander but I can't work out how to engage the mechanism. Looking down the hole, it's threaded for the top cap bolt all the way. Allen keys find nothing beneath what I can see.

I've got the same bike and setup. The metal washer you can see should lift out, and there should be a spring underneath. Once there, you'll be able to see the expander.

Just as you said, thanks.

Maybe more luck here :) anyone familiar with the frame?

It's nice, but it's definitely no competition to the L96.
-
• #1548
It is £5000 cheaper...

Which means Look is losing the plot. You don't see Rolls Royce making a budget model car to satisfy the masses. Look's should be envied, not affordable.
Saying that, I wouldn't say no to owning one still.

True. Bet they sell a boatload though, just because of the association with the L96 and that Mondrian paint.
Ouch thanks
