Anybody got experience of adjustable drop outs? I noticed that the rear wheel was out of alignment / rubbing when building up a frame. Unfortunately, the bolts for the adjustable dropouts seem to be made of the weakest metal known to humanity. On each side, one bolt just about releases. The other on each side (the lower ones) have rounded under very little pressure. They already weren't in particularly great condition.
The main issue is that the wheel is rubbing against the frame. Any solutions aside from drilling out the bolts to realign?

@Muppetteer, cant tell from the photos if you've perhaps tried this but if you get a torx socket and tap it into the sheared bolts, then attach the handle for the socket, then attach a long pipe to the handle. This should give you more leverage. You should be able to apply enough pressure to loosen the bolt. Its never failed me so far.

Other than that, drill them out with jedi like precision and salvage the threads, or just re tap the holes

What a let down...

I've no idea why Look used such low quality domed hex bolts.
Mainly to discourage overtightening.

I dont know of this is the place, or this is veering off topic, but i need to kick off somewhere and this is as good a place as any. The leaf spring fell out of my carbon max 2 aero pedals after less than 200 miles. Look responded by putting the spring back in and saying dirt could make that happen. Lucky for them, they make great bikes, coz they make shit pedals.

And yes, i do know they invented the clipless pedal, which only actually makes me more angry that the springs and bearings fall apart.

Mine is getting there now. First very tentative ride around the block today. Certainly not as stiff as my usual steads but very smooth! Still to do:
-Index gears, fit front derailleur cable and fit cable ends
-Install correct, non-rise deda stem (current one is all I have lying around), and slam front end
-Fit black wipperman chain
-Fit look bar tape
-Adjust everything to bike fit sizes

KG expander seatpost bolts, what torque is normally ok? Mine is slipping at 8nm, surely that should be enough. I am using quite a short bolt, but my brain is telling me that shouldn't matter.

What size are you? They only barely fit me, and I am not sure I want to stretch them... They say 8 but the seller said 9. I usually fit 9 or a wide 8.5 - Pm me if you are serious about them...

Just needs a stem cap with a few extra logos :-)

@Nikisthirdwheel can you just flip the current stem to have a nice horizontal match to the top tube? Will look good when the spacers are gone.

The San Marco saddle is unfortunately fake. Its got the wrong font. The real has quite thick type and there's a space between San & Marco.
Shoes like those crop up on e-bay every now and then. I believe they are a discontinued Look product and have a 3-hole cleat recess for delta (or presumably keo) cleats.
