Got an appointment for a big thing (fnar?) in Nov to visit Matt Houston who is at seven doors for a while. It's forever from now, but as I don't live in that foreign land, and I have to save up the considerable monies, it's cool.
A slow stokedness is gaining momentum.

I'd love to get something from him. Was tempted to go to the seven doors flash day this Saturday but I can't really afford it this month as I'm already booked in with Tom Flanagan. Good to hear he's about until at least November!
What are you getting done? -

A chest+stomach thing (although I think it may be chest first). I didn't want to give too much specific direction since I really like his composition etc. and want him to do his own thing. I just gave him some photos for "vibes" purposes and vaguely described the sort of theme I wanted. Also my strict "no-woodcut" policy. We'll see what he comes up with but I think he has some good ideas from talking to him earlier.

Just popped in to see Scott Move and booked two sessions. First is end of September, he thinks I may need three sessions of three hours but we'll see how it goes. Excite!

Got a friend who's looking to get some people / ships done, fairly detailed, a bit like:
Anyone got any suggestions?
She says no sharp lines, painterly style!
Doesn't really matter where too much, as long as it's UK based I think.

Gakkin got back to me about getting something at the London convention. He's not offered to do a large piece that will take 2 whole days. Not sure me and my wallet are quite up to that.

you dont want any one to touch your "starting to heal" tattoo especially not with a running needle. no matter where it is !
i went thru this at my 2nd tattoo (i was young), two people ended up pressing me into the bench to get it done. -

Not trolling here but doesn't a black spade tattoo mean that you're only dtf big black c-k? Google the Queen of Spades, i shit you not. I would cover it up, unless you're dtf which is cool.

Well good thing I'm a dude at least.
I got it when 17 cos I thought it was funny to have an ace up my sleeve.
Couldn't really give a fuck what someone else may think it's supposed to mean.
I also have a Maltese cross tattoo, last time I looked it has about a thousand different meanings depending on who you ask. I got it as a souvenir of my honeymoon to Gozo. Thanks for your concern though

Just booked into CreativeVisions in Monterey, CA for cheesy holiday tattoo while we're away. A lot of the stuff on their website looks a bit dated and naff but I'm getting something simple and tidy and the guy from the studio who we're in touch with has done some ace stuff..

Anyone on here from Leeds or been tattooed at Oddfellows Tattoo Collective in Leeds? I'm booked in next week and wondered if anyone can point me in the direction of somewhere to park at for a full day somewhere near the shop?

Any suggestions for artists that can replicate comic book styles?
Wanting a myriad of comic book/superhero characters around my thigh that are in different artists styles as a homage to the artists whose work got me excited and collecting comics as a young un, so john byrne, Jon romita jr, Walter Simonsen, mike mignola, and possibly Bill sienkiewicz, though not sure his later stuff which I love would translate into a black work tattoo.
Anyt thoughts let me know. -

Henry Hate did some Roman Dirge stuff on my ankle. Hilarious guy and tidy work.
Simon Erl from The Dungeon did my dragon last Saturday. I'm so pleased with it; my scrawny little arm is now all filled up yay
