• I've just checked the chainstay clearances, and it's possible that I could fit 35c tyres in there. However, the rims are 622x14, so I wouldn't run more than a 32c on them.

    That said, I'm trying to do this as economically as possible though, and I don't want to spend the same amount again as I've already ploughed into the project, just on tyres. Will keep an eye out for something suitable.

  • 32c is about as big as I'll go on road rims also; 35c have to be run the same PSI as a 32c to keep them from feeling floppy.
