Monoplanar all the way. Prettiest brake Campag ever made, and they work pretty well too. @xavierdisley reckons they're even good aerodynamically, making them the trifecta

Thank's ! have to find this first gen chorus version with the less "beefy" brake arms (compared to BR-02CH)

Thanks mate! Hum my Alpinas are also drilled. But badly, and I cannot put the front brake on because the hole is not horizontal. I never expected to ride so many miles brakeless.
I haven't seen you Nelson since a long time. Anything new? :) -

Ah,I see. Have you had any experience with the Dajla bars? I see that they don't have any cable grooves though. And are those HWY1 bars in the picture of my original post?

I was considering these for a while but their cost+ shipping is just a bit too much for me. I am now setting my eyes on bontrager ssr or procraft road pro bars, which would require some serious sanding in order to get them shiny or at least satin. I can't seem to find a decent picture of the HW1's, on some bikes the drops look nice and parallel to the ground,on others they seem to be pointing down. The nittos are pretty much perfect in shape and form but are there any cheaper alternatives that could be recommended?

Not tester pls

Not tester pls
It's OK, I can only explain why somebody would offer one for that price, not why anybody in their right mind would pay it :-)

He well it would be a good swap then, mine is drilled badly but inline enough that you can run a brake! Only thing I can think of would be steerer length, mine would be a bit longer I guess.. Nothing new on the Nelson, am gonna try and make it super light, carbon bits maybe. Brooklyn has got a zen and I want to build a road bike, that's it atm.

u might use a 20mm or 22mm tire not to damage your chrome and have strange noises while riding.

Chucked on a Wald the other week using some modified pipe clamps and struts.
Also re-purposed an ass cannon with success, best thing ever really. -

Bottle cage is a nice touch, was trying to figure out how to do that to mine.
Got a pic of the whole bike?
