That stem suits it really well
-
• #503
Cannondale disapproves of this because they are special
-
• #504
Er... how does it make any difference?
-
• #506
^ yup.
-
• #507
What bothers me more is the lack of pictures of scales with parts on them.
-
• #508
you know it only needs that, some deep carbonz + tan walls then it'll be ultimate hhsrb
-
• #509
I almost bought some.... But then I crashed. I'll probably get some next year now as there's no point over the winter.
-
• #510
And more so than the one I actually ordered, a very happy accident.

Less chat, moar weighing.
-
• #512
A happy ending, even.
-
• #513
Yeah im very happy with how it is, the only things I want to do to it now are get @Mechamorgan to swap out my axles for Ti, get some bling summer wheels, and possibly get a new seatpost (im not a huge fan of the clamp, but that me being silly)

I had one small spacer above the stem on a CAAD10. Was fine. If you have large / lots of spacers above the stem it might be an issue.
-
• #519
Dunno, but my assumtion is that the steerer and headset is designed as a system and meant to be assembled in the way described.
-
• #520
my caad10 had a massive spacer stack on top for about a year, it now has 1. I dont think it will kill you (dont quote me)
-
• #521
it will kill you
apc, 2015

• #522
I don't need to point out that, becuase something out of spec hasn't failed today, or this year, doesn't mean it won't fail due to being out of spec in the future, do I?

Sigma sport told me to ride around with massive spacer stack above the stem until I am certain I want to get the fork cut down. Am not dead, yet.
-
• #524
Hmmm, maybe I do.
-
• #525
If the spacer were structural, I'm guessing it wouldn't be removable. Or it might have a sticker on it saying "no spacer are death".
You should probably have the spacer on top of the stem.
