Has any one ever had a problem because they didn't leave the spacer on top or below?
I had one small spacer above the stem on a CAAD10. Was fine. If you have large / lots of spacers above the stem it might be an issue.
Dunno, but my assumtion is that the steerer and headset is designed as a system and meant to be assembled in the way described.
