Shush, the Mutant is a fine stiff stem.

I bought one for one of my Colnago Masters but it looks too bulky. It's somewhere around here unused because I really don't like it. They look better on pictures. ;-)

I had one on my Gazelle Track (now gone to somebody else)...it's an acquired taste visually.

I'm teasing a bit.
Everytime Mutant stem come up people complain about the looks. It's stiff and strong if you're happy just leave it on :)ITM has an ahead (eclypse) in steel, but it's tricky to find in black...

I'd like to have one of those for a 1995 steel mountainbike. But no, they're not very cheap.

The '95 mtb I'm about to rebuild -a Colnago Ibex- has a Shimano Lx 8 speed groupset on it (with STX-RC crankset) and the complete groupset can go as I'm going to put a Suntour XC Pro MicroDrive on it. I 'm willing to sell the crankset separately but I'm afraid shipping from Belgium will cost more than the crankset itself... So maybe you can take the complete groupset. ;-)

Thank you. I have 8sp groupset only missing cranks and nw chainring.
Your frame is this kind?

Hmmm, than maybe I'll better keep it. ;-) I found a Colnago Master Alloy short after I bought this one but I don't have enough room to store them both... (together with all my other bikes and framesets).

I like that. Could be extra cool if you ran cable for front brake through stem/steerer.

Thanks a lot but not black and 90mm is a bit not long enough.
Any idea of cool 25,4 bars ?

My current project
Early-80s Olmo, unsure on the model though? if anyone can help? Maybe Super Gentleman?
Taking my time sourcing the panto parts (wrong crankset at the moment...), it will be garish. Got a pair of Mavic MA2 on Record hubs with ATOM 6-speed freewheel too. Any idea on the Tubs I should look for??
