Ha, sorry. I have done that many times and while it doesn't really affect performance it's annoying knowing it's there. They're clinchers yeah? Should be easier after a few days on the wheel.
-
• #78
yeh they're clinchers, took me while to get the damn vittoria's in... hopefully you're right, will give it a couple of days to stretch so its easier.

Sounds awesome. I hope you've decided to hang on to it, so good. Personally I would love to see some nice "spoked" wheels (archetype x hope/ck?) but for sure winning with the spoks.
Also I know someone in the market for. Black ck threadless if you're selling.

the bike looks really nice with a mix of white + Ti, but if you're going to get pro paint I'd definitely align the stay transition with the wheel line. Then make the down tube transition parallel to the stay one (same angle). And since I was already thinking about this, perhaps would be nice to leave one Ti weld exposed (because weld), and since we are at it, have a contrasting seat tube/stay so the triple triangle is more triple, and triangle. All in, it'd look like this:
Just my 2p. It's already nice as it is, mind.

^gotta say that does/would look proper good. Not too sure about the mask point on the Top Tube, but otherwise, all of that!
Look forward to seeing the Ti headset and Grammo addition.

Sold the SRAM groupset. just cant get used to it. My palms are still begging for the campy hoods as I grew up handling campagnolo stuff. So got a campagnolo 9 speed from @maryann.
Here's a dirty pic of the grammo stem and CK Ti Headset.
Not really Ti in material but still :p

Great direction this project is headed, all though I liked the SRAM setup as well.

• #88
Lush! Can't beat a bit of shiny Ti.
-

Seems like I'll be acquiring some campagnolo shamal titanium wheelset soon as well =D

So, this is how it looks at the moment. Bad photo but I recently acquired some new parts so will be tkaing better photos once I've put them in which will be later today. Going to be repainting it and trying out new colours.

Gutted loved the SRAM. But if it's not working for you, right decision made. The bike is for riding!
-
• #92
yeh, gave the SRAM a chance. It's just not working out for me. My hands felt really uneasy, founds the hoods a bit uncomfortable. The shifting felt really great though! Felt electronic! Really loved it, sadly it had to go. Just cant move away from campy..

Here's how it is at the moment. Got the Ti Shamals from @Olly398, cool guy.
Still a bit messy. Going to change the pedals and maybe the saddle and handlebar tape but I reckon it's done. Not sure if I should go for tan wall tyres but I'm really liking the black ones at the moment. I'll be repainting this soon to maybe fluoro or black and pink. Bikecad doesnt seem to like me at the moment so I cant really do any plans at the moment. -

How many times have u painted this?
Do you do it all yourself?Looks nice, always liked this paint skeme.

How many girls have u painted this?
Good question, how many girls have you painted?
-
• #97
Hmm.. bit of a personal question if you ask me, but if you insist..
I have painted a lot of girls in my life. Most of them are French, some american as you see above. Tried my luck with Italians but it seemed that they didn't need any painting as they were good from the get go.
From different colours to different shapes. painted them all, and yes, I have have fo'ed all of girls I have painted. I've fo'ed them mostly weekends when I have the time.On a serious note, I sprayed it at least 3-4 times now. from bare Ti, to black, to blue, to green, and now to White. Thinking of trying out pink and black or fluoro fades. Yes, I do the sprays on my own. They're no way close to a pro job. I'll be sending the frame to a pro painter when I get the colour I like ^_^.

Oh dear I always manage to mistype things. Why times went to girls is beyond me. Just tried it out and I had to mistype almost all the letters and then select the far left word.
That's a pretty impressive feet. Since first watching this thread I've thought all the paint jobs were excellent.
Fluro is trending right now, certainly looks great; I hope to maintain that standpoint.Pink, yellow, green?
-

More like yellow, orange, pink, or pink and black. Still not sure. Not going to start until I finish my makino build hehe.

Ah nice.
Forgot about the makino. I hope that turns out as good as this.
Yeh, was hoping nobody will notice, so freaking hard to take the tyres off though.. Saw my mistake after I got it on... Might have to do it again sometime this week
