@General_Lucifer: another utter cracker - well done.

Thanks, @b&d! I just hope the Huddersfield rozzers don't come after me now.

It's highly unlikely that the case isn't yet closed.
Besides, they wouldn't mess with a Northern Lord Flasheart lookalike.

I know, especially one who lays longer dirty cables than Virgin Media.
-
• #3131
Everyone knows that Virgin Media is actually, genuinely shit...
Badoom-tish!
"Take my mother in law, please..." etc

I know how bloody late it is, I know it's no good sloping on here at 8.36pm and sticking up a story when you needed one during the bog break at 1.45pm, but I did my best.
Here's a new story.

Cheers Luci, I just had a shite a while ago so read it on the sofa..... now got a daft grin on my face!
Also noticed that the place around from where I work is looking for lithographic type people if you fancy moving to sunny Dundee!

I like the idea of Dundee - got to be better than Leeds!
-
• #3135
Couldn't possibly say, but I certainly like it! Check out Fairprint.

Great stuff. Very cool composition choice.
The opening of 2.07am nails that end of the night vibe.

LEAVE IT GARY!

Poor choice of timing Lucy, if you missed that prime Friday Shitbreak slot, you should have waited until Saturday. Sometime around early evening ought to do it when the glamour of a non-work day has faded and people are aimlessly filling time until the bright lights and loose morals of the night start to bleed from the woodwork tempting people into another selection of poor life choices. About 17:23 would be favourite.

A quote in the Sunday Times from when I lived in Dundee over 20 years ago;
"Dundee looks like it was built by Stalin."
-
• #3141
It was a post of principle, @The_Seldom_Killer - I posted it to stick to a self imposed Friday deadline, and godammit, I hit that deadline! I'm just happy that people went on to read it. Funnily enough, the reader tally was almost the same, only it was more spread out over 23hours. Result!

Last time I went through Dundee it looked nice!
Oh, wait. That was Aberdeen.
Move along, nothing to see here... -

The best thing about Dundee is the countryside surrounding it.
-
• #3144
I've never been - is it really that bad?
-
• #3145
It's a city that's best year are behind it although lots of development going on at the moment. It needs a hell of a lot more though.
It's a small city and the river Tay is beautiful and visible from most parts of the city.
The surround countryside is great cycling terrain.
Also I'm biased as I'm born in Dundee

"Club Mydia" is a subtle touch of genius.
-
• #3147
It's a beautiful location and has some nice parts, but there's a lot of housing developments from the 50s-70s that are architecturally uninspiring.

• #3148
I've heard good things about Dundee's pies.

A plen peh an an ingin an aw?
I used to live in one of the old tenements in Peddie Street, just up the road from the 24 hour bakery. A 24 hour bakery! It's the only place I've heard of such a thing existing and I live in the capital of Europe!
Four of us lived in a one-bedroom flat. The rent was £15 a month. Dundee! I went back recently for a birthday party and spent one (1) night in "Dundee's only 5-star hotel". Spent the next morning wandering around with a monumental hangover and pondering that I didn't remember ever walking these same streets without a hangover. Good old Dundee. There's a dragon on the high street, you know. A dragon!

You've sold it to me! Dundee, here I come!
I've just realised I'm still wearing the same belt as the one in that snap.
Same belt for 22 years. Great value!
