I agree (even though I wouldn't vote for them). I think it's important to have a decent opposition to hold the Government to account - even more so in today's political landscape of close majorities when you'd have though they can have even more impact on policy.
(Although I still don't know why the left elements don't grow a pair and do a UKIP.)

I'd like Labour to become a left wing party once more, rather than a pale imitation of the Tories.
Be nice to have an actual alternative/viable opposition party.
