Weighing in on the earlier commuter tyres debate -
My commuter bike has 25mm gators at up to 90psi. I say up to because morning hurriedness often means they go acouple of weeks between pumps, so we have a situation like this morning where I've been commuting at around 60psi before I do something about it. Anyway! 2 p*nctures in two years I think, not sure of milage since I'm a dirty freelancer who sometimes doesn't get out of bed. I'd guess around 5000+ km. Last flat I had, I pulled out many shards of glass and assorted crap from the tyre, but only one tiny bit had gone through.
Road bike - the summer one's on GP4000s, and I get through maybe one and a half/two rear tyres a summer, three quarters of a front tyre, and average two/three flats maybe? That's riding 1000-1300km a month.
Winter road bike had 4seasons on for the first time last winter, and they were ok. Felt pretty slow, but the only flat was on the Hell of The North ride when I hit a gravel road pothole hard. Might try something different when I wear through the tyres.
