Recent petty (and faintly comical) annoyances of mine include:
Consistent spelling of 'larva' for 'lava' (in an Arrivée article on riding in Iceland and another article somewhere on-line being the most recent);
'wild boar run amuck'--sounds like fithy boar (http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2015/aug/13/top-10-canyons-gorges-europe-walking-hiking-trips);
constant use of 'stamping ground' instead of 'stomping ground'; passim.
